Ca' da Ste is a bright and cosy flat in Calasetta, on the northern tip of the island of Sant'Antioco, a few steps from the sea. Located on the second floor with an independent entrance, the interior opens onto a bright living area with living room and kitchenette, characterised by modern and functional furnishings and large windows that provide natural light to the rooms. A double bedroom and a bathroom complete with shower and bidet complete the accommodation. Ca' da Ste is equipped with every comfort; Wi-fi, air conditioning and convenient free public parking in front of the building. Just a few minutes from the beautiful beaches of Calasetta and the main services, this solution is perfect for those seeking tranquillity, sea and practicality in one of the most fascinating locations in southern Sardinia.
Calasetta is a charming seaside village located on the island of Sant'Antioco, in the south-west of Sardinia. Characterised by white beaches and crystal-clear waters, this locality combines the charm of the Ligurian tradition with the authentic Sardinian soul. The historic centre is built around the Torre Sabauda, an ancient fortification built in the 18th century for coastal defence, now a privileged vantage point over the port and the Sardinian Sea. The beaches surrounding Calasetta are renowned for the purity of the water and the fineness of the sand: among them, the Saline beach stands out, extensive and bright, particularly appreciated by those seeking an unspoilt natural setting. As evidence of the community's interest in contemporary art and culture, the MACC - Museo d'Arte Contemporanea di Calasetta (Museum of Contemporary Art of Calasetta) is located in the heart of the village and hosts permanent exhibitions and temporary shows by local and international artists. The village's seafaring vocation is also expressed through its typical cuisine, where Ligurian and Sardinian flavours are interwoven in genuine and distinctive dishes, such as cascà, the gastronomic symbol of the Tabarka tradition. The town is also an excellent starting point for exploring the island of Sant'Antioco and the splendid Sulcis Archipelago, amid history, food and wine and breathtaking views. Sant'Antioco, in particular, is one of the oldest towns in Sardinia and preserves a historical and archaeological heritage of extraordinary value. The spiritual and cultural heart of the town is the Basilica di Sant'Antioco Martire, built in the 5th century over an early Christian catacomb complex, which can still be visited and is an object of deep devotion. Not far away, the 'Ferruccio Barreca' Archaeological Museum offers a fascinating journey through the island's history, through finds from Phoenician-Punic and Roman excavations. Alongside its historical wealth, Sant'Antioco offers beaches of great naturalistic charm: among the best known are Maladroxia and Coaquaddus, characterised by clear waters and sandy seabeds that make them ideal for swimming and diving. Also interesting is a visit to the Mangiabarche Lighthouse, which stands on the rock of the same name and is located about 400 m off the island of Sant'Antioco. The lighthouse warns sailors coming from the Spanish coast and the island of San Pietro of a particularly dangerous stretch of sea. According to one legend, the name Mangiabarche derives from the appearance of the shallows and rocks, which are said to resemble the teeth of a sea monster. The landscape, the rich cultural heritage and the warm hospitality of the local population make Calasetta and Sant'Antioco two unmissable destinations for those who wish to discover an authentic and fascinating face of Sardinia.
