The recently renovated flat is located on the first floor, inside the walls, in the heart of the medieval village. It has independent heating, and is furnished in rustic style, with terracotta floors and chestnut-beamed ceiling, original from the 13th century. The entrance is American style, with a kitchen-living room, with a large wooden table with 6 chairs, a discrete hob, fridge, freezer, electric oven, television and radio-CD. There is the possibility to accommodate 2 extra persons on a sofa bed. There is a double sofa bed, a large built-in wardrobe with pots and pans and crockery. The bathroom has a large shower, washbasin, toilet and bidet. The room is furnished with two single beds that can be joined, a large built-in wardrobe in style, with bed linen and plenty of towels for the bathroom. The house is equipped with all modern facilities in order to make your stay as easy and pleasant as possible. When you arrive, you will find the house perfectly tidy and clean and you only have to enjoy your holiday. Cleaning of the flat is included and at the end of your holiday you do not have to do anything. All you have to do is leave the used linen (towels, sheets, etc.) on the table, with a "TO WASH" note. The maid will take care of everything. Città della Pieve is a medieval town surrounded by countryside. It is an excellent base from which to visit Umbria or Tuscany, while experiencing the peace and quiet of an unspoilt environment, but with all the comforts and entertainment such as tennis, swimming pools, football, golf, discos. In the house you will find news, directions and routes to restaurants and places to visit. In the entrance corridor, before the stairs, on the right, there is the cellar, which can be used in case of need. The flat, completely isolated from city noise and pollution, is ideal for those seeking relaxation and privacy. The house is located within the medieval walls, in a quiet area but at the same time very close to the main shops and the most characteristic restaurants. Moreover, the location is very well connected to the most famous wine itineraries along which many farms and farms produce and sell their products at competitive prices. From our house guests can drive to all the interesting historical cities such as Perugia (40 min.), Orvieto (30 min.), Rome (2 hours by car, but also conveniently by train, leaving from Chiusi railway station). Nearby are important spa and bathing resorts such as the Terme di Chianciano (30 min.), the Terme di San Casciano with its volcanic springs (30 min.) and Lake Trasimeno (30 min.) with its bathing beaches equipped for all water sports. The nearest seaside resort is Montalto di Castro, a 1 h 45 min. drive away. If you feel like driving a little further, you can reach the beautiful beaches of Argentario. During the month of August, 'Il Palio di S. Rocco' is held in Città della Pieve. The town goes back in time on the occasion of this grandiose festival that involves inhabitants and tourists alike. For 10 consecutive days, the organisers of the feast dress up in ancient mediaeval costumes and give life to the goliardic challenges between the knights. During this time, restaurants, inns and taverns offer dishes and recipes with ancient flavours.
