Discover the magic of Etna by staying in our cosy chalet. Matilde's chalet offers a unique experience between nature and adventure, for those who want to get away from the city chaos and enjoy the peace and beauty of the mountains. Perfect for families, couples and groups of friends.
Located in the heart of Etna Park. We are located at an altitude of 1,500 metres, on the southern slope, framed by a forest of chestnut trees, centuries-old oaks and the most recent lava flows, that of 1983 and that of 2001. The nearest town is Nicolosi, 8 km away.

The chalet was built in 1976, then in 1983 a majestic lava front passed just a few steps away from the house, leaving it miraculously intact. Even today one can see and admire the river of lava that makes the surroundings resemble a lunar landscape.

Recently renovated with high-quality materials, it combines the rustic charm of wood and lava stone with modern comforts. The interior is tastefully furnished, creating a warm and cosy ambience.

The entrance to the first floor is independent of the ground floor. At the entrance, guests can enjoy a large terrace with a view of the lava flow and the forest. The first floor consists of a living room with a dining table, a comfortable sofa bed for two and a flat screen TV and wi-fi.
A modern bathroom, with a bathtub that converts to a shower, bidet, sink and toiletries included. A modern kitchen, with a hob, oven and refrigerator, crockery and cooking utensils.

There are 3 bedrooms, one room with a single bed on the first floor, while the second floor has two bedrooms. One double with a queen-size bed, one triple with a French bed and a single bed with an attached balcony.

The outdoor area is very large, surrounded by chestnut trees and centuries-old oaks, and will be completely at your disposal. There is also a large lava stone barbecue and a stone oven where you can cook delicious pizzas. For the little ones, a tree house furnished with various games will be available.

In spring or summer you can enjoy the rich and varied vegetation and take pleasant walks in the open air. In fact, there are several nature trails that can be taken and are easy even for the less experienced. Among the most suggestive and nearby ones, you can visit Mount Concilio or Mount Sona, only 1.9 km away. The nature trail Monte Nero degli Zappini or Mount Etna's high-mountain track 7.8 km away, Sentiero schiena dell'Asino a path of about 50 minutes that takes you above the majestic Valle del Bove, about 11.9 km from the house.
