Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model offers a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the Vacation in architectural monument foundation (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.
Car park: A private car park is available in front of the house.
Public transport: Take bus 6 from the main railway station in the direction of Spitalzentrum to Eichhölzli/ Pt-Chê. The bus stop is 250 metres around the corner from Haus Eichhölzli.
By car: From the motorway take exit 28 Biel-Ost, follow route 6 to Hermann-Lienhard-Strasse and Berghausweg to Im Eichhölzli 12.
Kitchen: no dishwasher and oven. No dining table in the living area - only on the terrace.
Bicycles: Can be parked in the garage.
Number of persons: 2 (1 double bed 140cm)
Garden: Terrace with view over the city and table plus chairs.
WLAN: Is available.
Open: The house can be rented all year round.
Pets: Are allowed on request.
Altitude: 520 metres above sea level.

The Eichhölzli is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing fabric. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although the technical equipment is up-to-date, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances. The owner, e-domizil and the Vacation in architetcural monument foundation disclaim any liability.
