Holidays in a listed building combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the "Ferien im Baudenkmal" foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.
Public transport: SBB to Twann. From the railway station 5 minutes on foot.
Car: By car to the Twann exit. Drive to the church.
Boat: By boat to Twann, then 5 minutes on foot to the house.
Car park: Public car park 5 minutes' walk away. Parking card will be provided.
Number of persons 4: The house can accommodate up to four guests. The beds are all futons - very hard. The floors are made of wood and stone, which is why we recommend good slippers. Despite the insulation, it can get colder in winter, which is why we recommend warm clothing. As no other place for a second toilet could be found in the house, these were placed next to each other without further ado.

The Rebararbeiterhaus is a historic house, a listed building. Although it is technically equipped to modern standards, we would like to point out that certain functional details such as window and door openers, stair handrails and step heights do not comply with current standards and could be a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances. The owner, e-domizil and the Stiftung Ferien im Baudenkmal decline any liability.
