The finca is located at the foot of the small town of El Tanque on the north-west coast of Tenerife and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean at an altitude of 500 metres. The farmhouse, which is over one hundred years old, has been extensively renovated in recent years with great attention to detail while retaining its original rustic Canarian charm.
The finca is very quiet yet centrally located and is therefore the ideal place to relax, go on excursions or hikes or for home office in the always spring-like weather with a breathtaking view over the sea and the lush green landscape.
The finca consists of 3 houses and can accommodate up to 6 people. The two-storey main house offers a four-poster bed with sea views on the upper floor. An open staircase leads to the living/sleeping area on the lower floor with two further single beds. Adjacent is a newly renovated bathroom with WC and shower as well as a typical Canarian-style kitchen with a fireplace that heats the whole house on cooler evenings.
Next to this house there is a separately accessible studio with a large double bed and a bathroom with WC and shower.
The studio is automatically booked for groups of 5 or more. However, if required, the studio can also be booked for a smaller number of people for an additional charge.
Internet is available throughout the property and all houses are equipped with smart media devices so that you can pass the time with films or TV in rainy weather.
The inner courtyard of the finca, which is planted with many local plants, offers the opportunity to relax on a sun lounger and enjoy the sun or end the day with friends or family over a cosy barbecue.
The highlight is the elevated jacuzzi with a view over the finca and magnificent views of the Atlantic. Here you can cool off on hot days or enjoy the sunset at a pleasant 37 degrees. There is an additional charge for heating the jacuzzi.
A hire car is highly recommended. A car park is available.
The nearby coastal town of Garachico is only 13 minutes away by car via one of the most beautiful winding roads on the island or via the pretty town of Icod de los Vinos with Tenerife's oldest dragon tree.
In 2021, Garachico was included in the official list of Spain's most beautiful villages (Pueblos más Bonitos de España) and is the ideal place to cool off with a small beach and wonderful natural pools. Numerous restaurants offer a wide culinary selection.
Many other beautiful excursion destinations and towns worth seeing are just a few kilometres away: Buenavista del Norte is around 11 km away, Masca is around 17 km away, Santiago del Teide is around 13 km away and Puerto de la Cruz and the south of the island can be reached in around half an hour.
The nearby Teno Mountains with the popular hiking route through the Masca Gorge and the national park around the Pico del Teide offer a variety of hiking opportunities.
