Balatonbereny is a small, quiet village on the western southern shore in Somogy County. In contrast to the more urbanised northern shore on the edge of Keszthely, we deliberately opted for this quiet little seaside resort directly on the flat southern shore, just a short distance from the romantic historic town of Keszthely. If this south-westernmost part of Lake Balaton has the most natural and, in our opinion, most beautiful shore area, it is also from here that you can enjoy the most beautiful views of the lake and the mountains opposite, the rustic volcanic landscape near Szigliget. Both from the shore and just a few hundred metres from the house in the numerous vineyards spared from phylloxera, from the so-called 'Great Berek', you have this fantastic view. The south shore is an ideal location for excursions, which is what makes a holiday so interesting and distinctive, especially as it is close to the motorway. The village of Balatonbereny is located directly on the water and therefore far enough away to hear anything from the motorway, just as the train traffic is so cleverly separated from the residential area by the hill to the beach area that you don't notice anything of it on our property either.
